10 Tors Challenge
My support for Chulmleigh Community College students who are working towards the 10 Tors Challenge.
I was pleased when in 2015 Chulmleigh Community College entered two teams in the 10 Tors challenge. I am delighted that this year the College is continuing to support this prestigious event and it's great that there are so many students now developing their knowledge, skills and stamina to take part. So popular is the event that there are more students than places on the two team and I know those students who don't make the teams this year will be very disappointed, however I see the whole process of preparing and working in teams as a great way for all students to develop their resilience, self-confidence and self-esteem. I’m proud that Chulmleigh Community College can provide this opportunity through the commitment and dedication of key staff involved in making this happen.
I totally support this activity and I have asked staff to keep me well informed about the preparation and readiness of the students. I will follow the progress of the teams on the event through the internet facility. My moral support goes to all involved and I look forward to learning about the students’ achievements both in the preparation exercises, and for those in the final teams, the event itself.
