Week Ending 15 April 2016
This was the first week back after the Easter Holiday break. It was a week I focussed on learning about how the term had started across all our schools and spending time on strategic thinking and strategic planning.
I was pleased to learn about the activities of Chulmleigh Community College students over the Easter Holiday period. Year 11 students working hard to prepare for their GCSE exams, the success of a Ski Trip and the achievments of the DofE Silver Award students on their expedition.
It is good to know Clare Aldrich has returned to Lapford School following her maternity leave. I am well aware of the skills and enthusiasm she brings to Lapford School.
I wish to welcome new children who have started at our schools this term. It's great to know parents and carers are making positive choices about the schools of Chulmleigh Academy Trust
My weekly meeting with Mike this week focussed on the strategic issues of the Trust and planning for the future and on learning how the term had started across all our schools.
The Strategic Planning Group meet this week and considered the progress with the marketing strategy for the Trust and the issues associated with the strategic development of Multi-academy Trusts.
I look forward to the Summer Term and supporting and learning more about the excellent work across our school. Well done to all staff, your contribution is much appreciated by the Board of Directors.
