Monday Morning - Weekly meeting with Mike. On the agenda this week:

    • Chulmleigh Community Parents' Forum follow-up
    • Information for Y7 Parents
    • Director Vacancy
    • CCC Self-evaluation
    • Preparation for HMI Conference

Monday Afternoon - Visit to Chulmleigh Primary School for a meeting with Lisa Eadie, Senior Teacher, and a tour of all the classrooms. Lisa was able to explain to me some of the excellent work that is going on at the school and show me how each classroom as the school as whole support learning.

Wednesday Morning - Bi-weekly meeting of Directors and Senior Leadership in support of the self-evaluation and improvement planning work at the College. In attendance at this meeting, Mike Johnson, Jon Pratt, Neil Payne, Steve Baber, Gary Barlow, Mark Corden and Tim Newman. The focus was on pupil performance data.

Wednesday Morning - Meeting Jon Pratt in his role a SENCO. Different Directors have different 'link' roles. I'm linked with SEN. This meeting with Jon was an update on changes to the management and organistaion of Sprecial Educational Needs described in the new Code of Practice and to learn how the Trust is responding to the changes.

Friday All Day - Attended an HMI conference with Mike Johnson and Neil Payne to focus on Pupil Premium students  in secondary schools. The day helped us reflect on the College's provision and outcomes, confirm what we currently do well  and consider areas for improvement. The Board of Directors will need to agree a link Director to focus on the montoring of Pupil Premium students. One of the outcomes from the conference was to create a schedule of self-evaluation questions to support our approach to continuous improvement.
